Do you know anything about that spider, Katrina? Is it dangerous? Everyone has got to take a look at that shot, the second one, full size. The full-size photo is stunning, worthy of publication with a little cropping and dodging and burning. Love the insect stuff, by the way, and everything else you've been putting up.
THanks Ben, and I do not know a thing about that spider. I have tried to find it online, and saw a few with similarities (striped legs) but not exact. I see them around the bushes,in our neighborhood none nearly that big. The shot was taken on a mountain path, at the bottom of a slope, he had a web strung across trees on either side. Ira nearly walked right into him with his face.
Now THAT would have been a shot!
